ABOUT
Classic yet unexpected, The Heritage Wine Bar is the perfect balance of old and new, set in one of the Perth CBD’s most beautiful heritage venues; think Donnybrook sandstone, Jarrah wainscots, harlequin floors and a handcrafted pewter bar top.
Intimate yet spacious, you’ll find the venue hosts a bar, restaurant, takeaway wine store and two private dining rooms perfect for events, celebrations or even weddings. Downstairs, our sister venue Bobeche is open late, the perfect spot to continue with a cocktail or nightcap.
Awarded a coveted hat in the national Good Food Guide and heralded by the best of WA and Australian media for both food and wine, The Heritage Wine Bar is one of a small group of Perth venues to earn recognition on a national stage. The vision of career restaurateur Ed Wolkowinski, success is achieved by the marriage of an extensive and award winning wine list. Pouring one of the Australia’s best wine lists with over 100 wines by the glass thanks to the Coravin system. The list features winemakers from WA, across Australia and the world. It is a list that pays respect to the masters whilst also exploring emerging and new-wave producers.
The Heritage Wine Bar kitchen has been heralded by the best of WA and Australian media; from the infamous snacks to the all in Chef's Menu the focus is always amazing food, packed full of flavour. Chef Gord Kahle's approach is underpinned by respect for technique, quality local ingredients and a drive for sustainability. He says, "I like to think my food is simple and understated. There's layers of technique behind the scenes, but I don't like to be showy, just let the ingredients speak for themselves. Good relationships with local growers and producers is everything when it comes to what ends up on the plate."
Accessed from Brookfield Place and St Georges Terrace, The Heritage Wine Bar is set in a landmark building in a prime CBD location; wearing its history and period, from Donnybrook sandstone and Jarrah wainscots, to harlequin floors and handcrafted pewter bar top.
