HOW TO MAKE A PERFECT OLD FASHIONED
BOBECHE COCKTAIL RECIPE
There’s no cocktail more quintessentially Bobeche than an Old Fashioned. Charming and old worldly, with that irresistible waft of orange oil. It’s straightforward but there’s a knack to getting the right balance; quality ingredients and great ice are a solid start. Make with the whiskey of your choice, as we do in the bar.

METHOD
Chill down a whiskey and mixing glass ahead of time in the fridge or freezer.

Using a peeler, cut a strip of orange peel. Trim with a knife to form a long narrow strip.
Add bourbon, sugar syrup and bitters to mixing glass. Add ice cubes, stir gently to dilute. Taste to check for balance, remember it'll keep diluting in the glass.

Using a strainer, pour over a single solid cube of ice in the chilled whiskey glass.
Roll the orange strip into a spiral and squeeze gently over the top. Add to glass for that tell-tale hint of orange oil.
